A STEP UP FROM A NOBLE AND HONORABLE TRADITION
The trend began with high profile
young black athletes famously making their voices heard during the time of the civil rights movement, setting a precedent by using their fame as a platform to take a stand against this unsolved race and social justice problem. John Carlos And Tommie Smith, laid it all on the line with their powerful civil rights protest, before they could capitalize on having won Olymipic gold and bronze medals in the 1968 Olympics spectacular finals of the 200-meter dash.
Tommie Smith and John Carlos are true American heroes in our book, and undoubtedly paid a financial price for their historic, iconic moment in history. Because as we recall, those guys weren’t acclaimed or exalted on a level befitting the magnitude of their actions putting the nation’s racist problem on front street and did not receive the financial benefits that normally comes with their achievement in the sport.
A few years later Jim Brown led a group of professional ball players in support of Muhhamed Ali who was penalized by the DOJ, (the
department of justice), for refusing to be drafted, which was overturned by the Supreme Court. This has been a growing mind set among these black pro-ball players. Most likely, any number of them have seen or experienced variations of the unsolved race and social justice problem.
Unlike Tommie Smith and John Carlos who made their courageous move before they got paid, there was a more recent take a knee demonstration during the National Anthem symbolic protest. It was spearheaded by Colin Kaepernick who
fortunately got his life changing money as an NFL quarterback. He became a nationally known civil rights activist after appearing in the super bowl. He did a variation of Carlos and Smiths Olympic fist raised stance by taking a knee during the playing of the national anthem.
There is the added sense of responsibility and survival level of self–interest, that
comes to some with being young, gifted, black and rich. In other words, many of these young men know that even though they are multi-millionaires and high profile that what happened to George Floyd could have been them.
Speaking of George Floyd, that race and police incident
saw world changing acknowledgement toward the unsolved race and social justice problem. Even some owners joined their Players in taking a knee.
These professional male and female professional black atheletes, are showing that there is among them a widespread concern that this race and police problem needs to be figured out and conclusively addressed.
We have seen the various individuals and groups attempts to use their platforms
derived from their wealth and fame, to try to impact race and social change by wearing signs on tee shirts and making strong public service statements for race and social justice most recently prompted by the George Floyd Police murder.
Appealing to the American people’s sense of racial equality and fairness with these symbolic displays on tee shirts showing their concerns with public service statements appears to have become the “go-to” move for this generation of wealthy young black professional-athletes, women and men, when it comes to trying to affect social change.
FOR THOSE WHO OPT FOR SYMBOLIC PROTEST HERE IS REAL ADVANCEMENT AND EMPOWERMENT
This website is designed to eliminate any questions about the game-changing advancement and empowerment that this opportunity represents for the nation and black Americans even more directly. It shows with “the Big Cover-Up” video, clear evidence of the police engaging in their pre-integration racist practice in a race and police encounter supported by the littlte-known integrated mainstream news media engaging in their systemic racist editorial malpractice by supporting the racist police misconduct directed at the black President.
We named this article A SPECIAL MESSAGE TO PROFESSIONAL BLACK ATHLETES mainly to get this message to this generation of black professional athletes that the ceiling for addressing this race and social justice problem is not symbolic demonstrations. There was a time when that approach fit the circumstances. However, even back then the Montgomery bus boycotts showed we could impose economic leverage to sucessfully oppose racist injustice.
Integration and the success of the civil rights movement has dramatically changed the political and economic reality. It’s time for us to raise our game and conduct ourselves consistent with the reality of our collective and individual situations, which is what we’re introducing and explaining on this website.
We have identified the root of the unsolved race and social justice problem is these two key professions of the police and the mainstream news media that have continued to engage in their systemic pre-integration racist practices despite being integrated. With the other key component beng the widespread lack of awareness of those in the nation and particularly black Americans that these specific systemic racist practices are even going on.
Nevertheless, the articles and videos on this website captures and exposes instances of individual and group behavior that leaves no question of how this racist activity contributes to the over all unsolved race and social justice problem.
Our job, as the only source in America knowing and showing the awareness of this systemic integrated mainstream news media racist editorial activity, is to widely share this knowledge and raise the level of awareness among those who are looking for the key to the solution to this unsolved race and social justice problem.
Exposure is the key. The “the Big Cover-Up” video, is an example of how we can defeat systemic racist mainstream news media editorial malpractice by exposing the offense when it raises its little-known but impactful uchecked presence. That was fully on display in the Gates Crowley affair and “the Big Cover-Up” video, provides the undeniable game changing evidence.
Yet another object lesson, the only reason the news media was able to deceive the whole
nation in that Gates and Crowley race and police incident is because even though we documented it at the time, we did not have this national cable news media television operation up and running to show the whole nation the breakthrough information in “the Big Cover-Up” video that would have blown up that mainstream news media driven Sgt. Crowley fairy tale that led to that unjustified public relations Beer Summit. There was no reason to publicly pacify Sgt. Crowley for making an illegal arrest and lying and fling a false police report.
HERE’S THE MESSAGE TO SOME OF THE MOST COMPETITIVE BLACK AMERICAN MEN AND WOMEN PROFESSIONAL ATHLETES
Context is needed to fully appreciate the rare opportunity and clear blueprint being presented on this website for black Americans to definitively gain the long awaited unprecedented advancement and empowerment that we have never had as a race, which will be our own all-inclusive national news media operation that we are working to establish.
We start with our knowledge and conviction, that most of the American people believe in racial equality and fairness. That’s based on going back to the civil
rights movement days. The successful strategy of the movement leaders was to schedule the peaceful demonstrations early in the day to make sure the TV networks had time to process their film footage of the violent police action against the peaceful demonstrators in time for the evening news. They counted on the unjustified brutality to be a turnoff when viewed by most of the American people and lead to the will of the majority prevailing. That strategy contributed in no small way to the success of the civil rights movement.
WE ARE THE ONLY SOURCE THAT SHOWED AND EXPOSED THE INTEGRATED MAINSTREAM NEWS MEDIA CONTINUING THEIR SYSTEMIC PRE-INTEGRATION RACIST EDITORIAL PRACTICES
For the first time since integration the key to the unsolved race and social justice problem is finally being identified and exposed, thanks to our website with “the Big Cover-Up” video. Ironically, the video shows exactly what the solution calls for, which is a major national news media operation permanently in place to, plus so much more, show and expose the integrated mainstream news media continuing to engage in their pre-integration racist editorial practice as revealed in “the Big Cover-Up” video and whenever it occurs.
Showing the integrated mainstream news media engaged in their systemic pre-integration racist editorial practice is key to solving the unsolved race and social justice problem.
THE SOBERING INSTRUCTIVE TRUTH AND SOME MORE REALITY
The late famous defense attorney Tony Brooklier, who was a good friend and who extended financial support to this project, at one point, let me know that
making his contribution to this endeavor of a national news media concept designed to empower black Americans and introduce national news media accountability into the race and social injustice equation, thereby reducing the problem of racial injustice was contrary to his professional interest.
In other words, reducing racial injustice also reduces his potential client base as a defense attorney. That put my naivete in check and explained the less than welcoming response we received from a range of institutions excutive leaders ostensibly working on the race and social injustice problem like the national association of black XXXX fill in the blank.
It was almost comical but informative. When contacting a few of these organizations’ executive headquaters to speak to the HNIC, the receptionists were invariably excited when hearing of the U.S.A. ThisWeek national news media concept. However, to their bosses we proved to be persona non grata. In other words, there were no return phone calls. That reinforced the heads-up that Tony Brooklier had alerted me to.
The harsh truth speaks for itself. Over fifty years of post integration race and social injustice activity, means there’s a cross section of individuals and groups that have built substantial businesses based on the long-standing conditions, many of them non-profits, that exist due to this long-term race and social injustice activity having continued despite integration.
That means that many of those that appear to be pulling for our advancement are also pulling for the racist problem that their non profit is addressing remains a problem to justify the continuation of their non profit operation. Because they get paid as long as the problem that justifies their existence remains. That’s just the proverbial nature of the beast.
Actually, this reality goes all the way to the top to those who run institutions that fund these various organizations to include major foundations themselves. The problem often ends up being the tail wagging the dog as their raison d’etre.
The other irony is, while these young professional black ball players can readily relate to the race and social justice issue, their agents may not share the same mindset or may have a different agenda. Plus there’s the justified tendency to protect their clients from hustles. From my experience the difference was not the color of the agent. It’s a matter of sensitivity. In my experience, the most receptive agent to this concept I encountered was white and represented Steve Mcnair.
Let’s face it, this is an opportunity in waiting for black Americans to learn of this key to the unsolved race and social justice problem. There’s this empowering concept of having our own national news media operation to address, this unsolved race and social justice problem. Despite all the black wealth we highlighted, as Rich Paul, the high profile LeBron James and others’ sports agent, made this discerning observation
on 60 Minutes. “What’s the sense of having money with no options?” As they say in the streets, “true that.”
The other thought we offer is, what’s the benefit of breakthrough, liberating, empowering, knowledge if it’s not being applied, which is obviously what we’re attemptng to accomplish here. Plus what good is your wealth if you don’t apply it to your advancemnt in a society that has barriers to be addressed
Actually, our current approach of producing this website with the game changing “the Big Cover-Up” video is based on our understanding that these groundbreaking, awareness raising facts need to be made available as widely as possible by promoting and driving traffic to this website to allow those interested in seeing black Americans reaching full equality, to find this knowledge based breakthrough empowering advancement concept to support.
When you consider all of the professional ball players who visited the Whitehouse and even played basketball with President Obama and certainly
developed some form of a friendship with Potus. One would think that there are those who will be disappointed with themselves to learn that the integrated mainstream news media was able to engage in the most egregious blatant public display of racist editorial malpractice against the black President on their watch, and they missed it.
Hopefully, those folk who missed that racist public revelation blockbuster when it erupted under the klieg lights that track the first black President can pick up on this breakthrough revelation on this website in time to do something about it.
SYMBOLIC PROTEST IS NO SUBSTITUTE FOR REAL EFFECTIVE ACTION
U.S.A.ThisWeek is finally giving black and white Americans for the first time since integration, an opportunity and a choice to support a demonstrable game-changing difference-maker. For black pro-athelets who have thought that the height of their impact is making public service statements and engaging in symbolic demonstrations, we are showing there is a whole other level of empowerment to be achieved that goes far beyond symbolic protest in being effective.
This lack of news media accountability problem in race and police encounters requires establishing an all-inclusive national news media operation that will prioritize an editorial policy that will include the missing news media practice of accountability in race and police encounters. This is the most liberating empowering advancement that can only be achieved by us in the private sector. The breakdown of this national news media operation
